Among Friends
In lively personal essays about the people, companies and books that helped shape our culture, more than 100 prominent figures in publishing and bookselling recall their careers during a time of extraordinary growth, from the postwar period through the revolutions of the 1960s and ’70s to the new millennium.
Among Friends contains over 500 images, including photographs of well-read/loved editions, personal photos and ephemera from the contributors, and articles and advertisements from the archives of Publishers Weekly. The jacket features the names of each of the 100+ contributors printed on vellum to reveal the title, which is debossed in red foil on the case below. The book is housed in a decorative box with a circular die-cut that exposes a monogram of the title debossed on the spine. Printed in a limited edition of 1600 hand-numbered copies.
